| We Need PA's to Get Involved |
|
In the coming year our state society will face a difficult challenge...maintaining our state chapter status. Our state society was chartered in 1977 by hard work from some of our early PAs. Imagine at that time, with the profession in it’s early years, what an accomplishment that was. To gain support from physician colleagues many of whom did not even know what a PA was. You can imagine some even felt a little threatened by our existence. We are now 374 strong in this state. Some of the society’s accomplishments over the years have included:
This is just to name a few! These accomplishments would have never happened if there was no state society to represent you. This is a crucial time for PAs to get involved. Things are quiet in the state regarding PA practice. That is a good thing and we should be proud to know that we earned the respect of our physician colleagues. Don’t let it get to the point where we have no leadership in our organization and no voice in the state. For if an issue arises that may affect the way we are able to practice, it will not be easy to fight for what we have earned with a lack of leadership. There is no experience needed to participate on the Board of Directors...just a willingness to participate! Board meetings are on average monthly. Time commitment as a member varies. See more information on our website http://www.nh-spa.org/. Please consider getting involved today! Respectfully, Your Board of Directors |
